The Power of Co-Design in Community Engagement

Co-design is more than just a buzzword. It’s a way to build trust, strengthen relationships, and create solutions that genuinely reflect the voices of those most impacted.

But what does co-design look like in practice? In this webinar, Leanne Robb, Community and Stakeholder Engagement Consultant at Social Pinpoint, sits down with engagement experts Max Hardy (Max Hardy Consulting) and Susan Carter (Authentic Co-Design) to unpack the principles and realities of co-design—when it works best, how to do it well, and common pitfalls to avoid.

Together, they explore how co-design can transform engagement, challenge assumptions, and equip you with practical strategies to navigate its opportunities and complexities. Whether you are a practitioner, decision-maker, or simply curious about doing engagement differently, this session will provide actionable insights you can apply right away.

Key takeaways:

  • How co-design transforms relationships and fosters deeper collaboration
  • Strategies to build trust through inclusive, participatory engagement
  • Ways to create solutions that authentically reflect the voices of those most impacted
  • Insights for challenging traditional assumptions about engagement
  • Practical tools and approaches to navigate the complexities of co-design
