In 2017, VicRoads received funding to undertake a planning study of the future transport planning for Warragul and Drouin.

The planning study will see VicRoads undertake community consultation and its own investigations to better understand the current and future challenges within Warragul and Drouin townships. The planning study will identify potential solutions to the challenges and provide certainty for the further development and growth within these towns.

Population growth has resulted in traffic delays and access issues in the Warragul and Drouin townships, particularly in the central business districts (CBD).

To get a better understanding of the issues, VicRoads are using a Social Pinpoint interactive map to ask the community about their:

  • experiences on Warragul and Drouin’s roads
  • concerns about specific locations on the road network in these two towns
  • suggestions to improve safety and traffic flow into the future
