Melbourne's outer suburbs population will soon overtake the total population of the city centre and inner suburbs. RACV recognises that the outer suburbs of Melbourne are extremely important to the overall health and vitality of the city. The city's transport networks must reach well beyond its centre to be a world-class connected city. To help cope with this population growth, RACV's 2018 Growing Pains plan sets out 142 recommended transport and infrastructure projects.
RACV is using a Social Pinpoint Interactive Map to provide information to community members about the backlog of transport infrastructure projects needed in each of Melbourne's fourteen outer Council areas, allowing people to understanding how these project might impact them
