Newcastle, NSW - A New Way to travel is coming in 2018 with more than one thousand extra services each week.
There will be more frequent buses and ferries, new bus routes and better connections between modes. The New Way has been built from local insight to give Novocastrians more choice to get where they want to go.
The new services commencing January 14 include:
- More than 1280 extra services across the Newcastle Transport area.
- Introduction of four frequent bus routes with services every 15 minutes during the day, with ferry services also every 15 minutes between Stockton and Newcastle.
- Better connections between modes with other buses, ferries and trains.
The new network marks one of the biggest change to Newcastle’s public transport network.
Most of the bus routes have been revised and new bus routes have been added to the network to better meet customer needs.
A Social Pinpoint interactive map has been embedded into the Newcastle Transport website to allow the community to understand how changes to the network will impact them.
