New Zealand Transport Agency – Let’s Get Wellington Moving

View Project >

The central city is one of Wellington’s fastest growing residential neighbourhoods. It’s also where many of us work, and where we like to shop, dine and socialise. The busiest parts of the central city have more than 20,000 people walking through each day.

Let’s Get Wellington Moving needs to make a start now on moving more people with fewer vehicles. To achieve this, NZTA needs to create a better environment for people walking and on bikes, and improve safety for everyone.

NZTA would like to know what stakeholder think about lowering the speed limit to 30km/h on most central city streets. They would also like to know what the community think about keeping some of the main roads at 50km/h.
