Over the next 3 months, Kirriemuir residents of all ages will be encouraged to share their ideas on every aspect of active travel and sustainable travel, connecting people in and to the town.
This Community Planning Project will focus upon walking and cycling (functionality and leisure); public transport and car use; safety and infrastructure. It is hoped to collect every idea that is relevant, to be able to create a vision of a transport system, shaped by Kirrie folk, which promotes social inclusivity, connectivity, sustainability and health and well-being.
The consultation aims to develop short, medium and long term goals which would influence Council priorities and provide the basis for future funding applications by both Angus Council and other groups.
Social Pinpoint has been utilised to help drive feedback and engagement with the Kirrie folk via an Interactive Map. The community have provided excellent discussion points and feedback for the Council's consideration.
