Canada Lands Company, in joint partnership with the Algonquins of Ontario, is seeking input from the community regarding the site at 299 Carling Avenue. In what will be considered “a place to connect,” stakeholders are being asked to provide ideas on architecture, parks and open spaces, and other features being planned for the site.
The project was built and launched on the updated Pages V2 builder this month. Canada Lands Company took a step approach to help stakeholders walk through the consultation, using the Engagement Widget to create step-by-step call outs to allow for ease of navigation to each additional step.
The project also makes great use of the FAQ widget to break up more content rich pages. Step 2 of the consultation includes reviewing a Public Engagement page. This page uniquely shares past meeting information, along with current development principles using a drop-down enabled widget to highlight content areas a stakeholder may want to learn more about.
Another unique characteristic of this project is the bilingual aspect. The project lives entirely in two languages—English and French. Once the full engagement site was finalized in English, all 8 pages were quickly cloned and translated. A header navigation link easily takes stakeholders to view the project in French instead, where they can engage with all Pages, Surveys and the Ideas Wall entirely in French.
